A 255 gsm poly-viscose trouser with a matt finish, which is the detail that separates a proper uniform trouser from a cheap one. Shiny fabric photographs badly and looks worn within months; matt cloth keeps looking deliberate.

The weight gives a clean drape and a crease that survives a full day of sitting. Pleated or flat front, black, navy blue or grey, waist 28 to 44.
